Hello,
Yesterday I have received my new LG G Watch R. It was bought by my daughter in Spain, but I live in Argentina.
Just turning on for the first time, and I see that the touch screen does not work. Boot process is OK (LG animation and logo), then I get the "Choose Language" screen ... but I cannot choose language, or do anything above this point. I have also checked with my Galaxy Note 4 if it "sees" the GWR, and it does: but I cannot complete the pairing process, because I can´t tap the green button on the watch to confirm the pairing.
In conclusion: the watch seems to be working OK, display is OK, but touch screen does not work at all.
I should return back ... to the retailer Spain, which is costly and will take a lot of time, so I am investigating if someone has had this problem, and if eventually found a solution...
I have seen a Youtube video that disassembling the GWR is not very difficult. I was wondering if it might be a loose connector (the one with the digitizer´s signals). Is it common on smartwatches or cellphones to fail the digitizer like this ? Is it usually a faulty cable or connector, or it is a more complex cause ?
Any hellp welcome ! Thank you very much.
