Can I install any ROMs into my lg optimus f3?

I have an optimus f3 (LS-720zv7) for Virgin mobile and it's rooted. someone told me that if I tried installing ANY ROMs onto it that it would just brick. Is that true or can I?? Also How do I do it? And can I tweak my phone a little? Like custom fonts or something, Or will that brick it too? I've never installed any before or done anything to it cause I'm afraid I'll brick it and it's my only phone for a long time.

So if anyone can help and provide some kind of proof THAT'D be great :D and will thank you.
