Battery life consensus ?? Only getting 4 hours of screen on time d950 on tmobile

Hey guys just got my g flex about a week ago (insert bobby smurda clip lol) and ive been trying to gauge what i was hoping to be (well from what ive heard ) one of the greatest android battery the" 3500 mah battery power saving god" of the g flex. Ive heard stories and read previously of people get 6- almost 10 hours of screen on time with this phone. Ive only seen less than a hand full of threads about it and its battery life. But i figured id get more than what i currently can get off a full charge down to what i did last which was down to 10% and i got 4 hours exactly of screen on time on almost the lowest brightness about 35-40%. And so far thats about what i can average. Is this normal or should i be alarmed ? This was suppose to be a brand new phone so im kinda wondering . Should i be seeing higher screen on times, should i look further into it to see if i have something draining my battery, Is there way better battery life on kit kat versus jb idk..???? . Im running a unlocked at&t d950 (d95010c) on jb 4.2.2 using the tmobile network. trying to upgrade to kit kat but cant idk if its bc im tmobiles network or what. Can you guys lead me to some incite.
