Hey,
I have a non-brand car headunit that runs Windows CE 6.0 under the hood.
It uses a ZTE MF190 to connect to the internet for mainly the nav system.
Now, I've wanted to replace the netstick, with my phone, so I figured I'll try and tether the headunit and my phone via USB cable.
This falid, as the phone popped a message saying it couldn't connect to the internet
I'm not sure, but it seems that the system is acting differently in the case of a 3g modem, and tethering.
my guess is that tethering act as a wireless router, and 3g modem act like, well... a modem.
I could keep on guessing but figured there's people who know those things for a fact...
so my questions are:
1. Am I right? if so, what's the difference?
2. how can I go around it?
Cheers,
Eyal
