[Q] disable touchscreen on z2

I have another thread in the Z2 forums but thought I would post here in case the higher visibility might help with an answer.

I have a z2. the screen is physically fine, but the touchscreen is crazy, registering random clicks all over the place.

My goal is to disable the touchscreen so i can use something like titanium backup to backup (and subsequently restore) some stuff from the phone.



I was finally able to get usb debugging enabled and connect via adb.

I'm looking for an adb command to help me disable touchscreen.



I found and tried this

touchpad -m bootloader

but it says /system/bin/sh touchpad: not found



anyone know what the equivalent command i want is?
