Titanium Backup Root access Issue

Dear Developers

This in to bring to your kind notice that I have MotoG-2014 [2nd Gen] with me.

I recently rooted it successfully using guide given on the XDA forum itself. Post the root, I did checked using Root Checker Basic application about the fact whether I did the process successfully or not.

I did get the message: Congratulations! Root Access is properly installed on this device.

Current Device : XT1068

Android version: 5.0.2

Once i was done with all this, I tried installing Titanium Backup[Pro version 6.10] but post every individual and multiple installs whenever I tried opening the application, it checks for ROOT ACCESS, which I did give everytime but here I get a error stating that :

Sorry, I could not acquire root privileges. This application will *not* work! Please verify that your ROM is rooted, and try again.

This attempt was made using the "/system/xbin/su" command.

Now i don't understand why does this happen with Titanium, when Root Checker Basic application shows me Rooted, and I can also install

"Viper4AndroidFX" application which too requires phone to be rooted at the very first place.

I do not wish to reinstall the ROM again, since I did it properly with full clean swipe & cache + data properly cleaned at the first place after i bricked the phone last night.

HELP me guys please. !

Waiting for a response.

Thanks & regards.
