Hi everyone,
Been installing various versions of CyanogenMod on my devices since CM7, worked my way up from a Nook Tablet to my HTC One M8 and have never had an issue like this.
I got my ATT HTC One M8 at the end of last year, and on day one unlocked the bootloader, installed CM11, and never looked back. When CM12 came out, I found out I had to update the firmware to the new 3.19 version, so I set it aside and stayed with CM11 for awhile. It's my work phone, so it wasn't that important, and I had CM12 running fine on my LG G2, so I could keep up with changes.
Well, last week was slow at work, so I found the bootable RUU to reflash stock HTC Sense, applied it, worked fine, and then restored my backup of CM11 so I could easily upgrade to CM12 with my shiny new bootloader. That went fine except I lost my IMEI, phone said no sim detected. Well, crap. I restored my backup of stock rooted, and IMEI was back, able to make phone calls. Ok, no problem I thought, I'll just flash CM12 directly. I did that, and once again, it loses the IMEI.
What am I doing wrong? Phone is S-On, Bootloader unlocked. Running Sense Rom. Do I need to convert to GPE? Pay $25 to go S-Off?
Really not a huge fan of Sense, so assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks!
